On Thursday, Sept. 30, Border Patrol agents in the Rio Grande Valley Sector found the remains of a suspected illegal alien hanging from a tree on a south Texas ranch in Brooks County, TX.
Almost 100 illegal alien deaths have been investigated and processed by the Sheriff’s office in 2021.
Brooks County has reported 98 illegal aliens found dead on local ranches. Plus, there was a fatal crash that took the lives of 10 illegal aliens and injured 20 more. The 118 illegal alien deaths recorded in 2021 represent nearly a 250 percent increase from 34 for the entire year in 2020.
The hanging case is being investigated as a potential homicide, according to Brooks County Sheriff Benny Martinez. However, the Sheriff said they aren’t sure if the migrant was killed or committed suicide.
Investigators also found two identification cards belonging to a Mexican male, and say the body had been mutilated, probably by animals. More will be known after a complete autopsy is conducted on the body by the Webb County Medical Examiner’s Office in Laredo, Texas.
This death shows how dangerous the trip across the border is for people crossing illegally. Not only do they face dangers presented by car chases, diseases, and the elements, but also cartel violence and personal desperation.
We must stop encouraging illegal immigration by rewarding it with political excuses, amnesty, jobs, family reunification, and other benefits. Instead, it must be deterred and punished with immediate and universal deportation for all illegal aliens.
