The ridiculous 2020 political campaign season has only just begun, with a tidal wave of incredibly stupid comments are pouring out.
Presidential candidate Joe Biden recently spoke of amnesty for “Dreamers” on August 29, and said, They become American before a lot of Americans become Americans — No, I’m serious … . On Facebook on September 5, he declared, These people are all Americans. And he criticized President Trump for his decision on Tuesday to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, calling the move “inhumane” and un-American.
DACA was created by President Obama on June 15, 2012. It is not legal; it was never passed by Congress. But both the plan and purpose of DACA were very clear to many of us the minute it was announced: Use children as pawns in the immigration debate to stifle those who call for our laws to be enforced and our borders secure.
And seven years later, this illegal plan is still in effect. President Trump decided to rescind the program, which will eliminate one more magnet attracting illegal aliens to our country. More importantly, when the word gets to the feeder countries that DACA is no more, we should see a vast decline, if not an end, to parents sending their kids unaccompanied on a very long and very dangerous trip. So dangerous for little girls that mothers were giving their youngsters “morning after pills” (birth control pills) knowing their child would be raped … probably more than once. This insanity came about because of the promise of DACA.
Of course, Biden is not the first national politician to praise illegals.
It was ten years ago in 2009, when Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi told a church full of illegal aliens in San Francisco that they were:
… very, very patriotic taking responsibility for our country’s future.
She then proclaimed that it was “un-American” to enforce our employment and immigration laws. And for good measure, Pelosi told the illegal aliens that their illegal entry into our country has:
… made America more American.
Yes, the Speaker of the House said it was “un-American” to enforce our laws.
America is a lot of things. One thing that will preserve our country and our culture is our laws. The discussion about amnesty for so-called Dreamers is just the beginning. Gradually other groups will be included. And news of that discussion will be reported around the world, and the numbers of those risking the trip to enter our country illegally will swell.
We need, should in fact, demand that our elected representatives support the law, every law, and not deride it.
Cancelling DACA will send a much-needed message discouraging further mass illegal immigration.
You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life. [Winston Churchill.]
