San Francisco, a city where the inmates are truly running the asylum, continues to lead the nation in delusion, derangement, and anti-Americanism as the childlike rebellion of elected officials in San Francisco.
The childlike rebellion of elected officials in San Francisco continued last Thursday, March 2, when Mayor Ed Lee announced the expenditure of taxpayer dollars on an immigration defense fund that will be added to the millions of tax dollars already pledged.
From the news release:
The new Immigration Defense Fund will bolster San Francisco’s frontline immigrant-support organizations. These non-profit and community groups provide legal representation at deportation hearings, citizenship and asylum services, and legal counsel for unaccompanied minors, among a bevy of other services.
Of course, this is not called an “illegal alien defense fund.” Nor are the “stakeholders” called “illegal alien support organizations.” Mayor Lee might get some push back if these accurate terms were used. As we know, legal immigrants rarely have deportation hearings. And illegal aliens are a long way from the need of citizenship services.
On January 31, San Francisco filed a federal lawsuit against President Trump’s Executive Order that directed enforcement action against sanctuary cities and threatened to withhold federal funding from sanctuary cities. San Francisco declared:
The misguided Executive Order makes our cities less safe, and we believe, is unconstitutional. If President Trump is truly invested in making America safer, then it is imperative that the new administration and Congress pass comprehensive immigration reform.
So in the mind of Ed Lee, enforcing our immigration laws makes us less safe, but passing amnesty, which is what “comprehensive immigration reform” means in NewSpeak, will make America safer.
Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, another San Franciscan, has frequently demonstrated her insanity about illegal immigration over the years, and as recently as last week.
San Francisco Supervisor Malia Cohen said, “The creation of the Immigration Defense Fund sends a strong message to the world and the federal administration that San Francisco is standing united, regardless of faith, background or status.”
Yeah, it will send a message alright. And some of those who hear and understand the message, will make San Francisco a destination. Gang members who have criminal or terrorist intent want a “sanctuary” from which they can ply their drug smuggling trade.
The casualties will continue to rise and there will be more murders, like that of the Bologna family members killed by an illegal alien MS-13 gang member, well known by the San Francisco Police Department and suspected in another killing. Or the tragic death of Kate Steinle, allegedly killed by accident by an illegal alien who had been deported five times, and who admitted to authorities he was in San Francisco because it was a “Sanctuary City.”
San Francisco should be the very first city to lose all its federal funding if it continues to defy the law.
As for the mental illness that seems so pervasive in the Asylum by the Bay, it is up to the voters to deal with elected officials whose actions hurt the city and its residents.
Unfortunately, history has many examples that indicate that action won’t be taken to change anything until the situation gets so bad and the casualties so numerous, that it is impossible to ignore the consequences of San Francisco’s continuous, sanctimonious and illegal behavior.
