New York Senator Chuck Schumer has just endorsed President Trump’s Voter Integrity Commission in the best way possible. He has invoked the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). Schumer, of whom one is warned: never get between him and an open microphone, said on the Medium website that “After Charlottesville, It’s Time to End the Assault on Voting Rights.”
How do you know when the anti-American left is worried that a government policy or action is thwarting their attempt to dismantle our country and our culture? They whine about it and use the “racist” claim to attempt to delegitimize it. That is what Schumer has done with his KKK comment, and it is reassuring that the left is so worried about voter integrity.
Isn’t it logical to assume that if there was no voter fraud, as Schumer alleges and only an imbecile believes, that he would use the negative findings of the Commission to accuse President Trump of lying and malfeasance? He could even use the negative finding to, shall I say it, call for impeachment!
Schumer claims that this is an, “… effort to intimidate voters and purge them from the rolls … .” and “Their only intention is to disenfranchise voters.” Why the verifying of registered legal voters should “intimidate voters” or “disenfranchise” them is not explained, nor can it be. It is just more leftist blather from someone who knows full well what eliminating illegal voters from the election process will produce … a fair and representative process that is the underpinning of our great nation.
Two things Schumer wants:
- Disband the Election Integrity Commission. If the president wants to truly show that he rejects the discrimination agenda of the white supremacist movement, he will rescind the Executive Order that created this commission.
- Hold a series of public hearings on the status of voting rights in America. Let’s have a public debate about these issues where experts can discuss policies like same-day registration as well as alleged voter fraud. Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, vice chairman of the Election Integrity Commission, should testify as well.
Schumer wants a public debate to generate mountains of fake news, aka propaganda, and tell lies about Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, vice chairman of the Commission.
Neither is going to happen. The Commission is moving ahead, and just as the talk of building the border wall has resulted in fewer illegal aliens trying to get into our country, the talk of investigating voter fraud is going to discourage a lot of the fraudulent practices that have, heretofore, gone uninvestigated or simply been ignored for decades.
Schumer ends with a laughable line, “If Majority Leader McConnell is willing, Democrats stand ready to work with Republicans … .” Sure you do, Senator.
But thanks for giving us an unequivocal sign of just how much you fear the results of an investigation into voter fraud. We all know what that means.
You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life. [Winston Churchill.]
